Summer of Fun with Lynn Scotti
You have been in the magazine world for years, now that you are President and group publisher of Modern Luxury how has the business changed?
The media business has changed dramatically over the years with less print products and more digital capabilities. Modern Luxury is perfectly positioned for success with our print products that are much anticipated and highly coveted by our readers. We are the largest luxury media company in the U.S. and fully integrated with print, digital, social and experiential opportunities.
Gotham Magazine is under your leadership. What fun events are coming up in Manhattan?
Our Gotham Summer Sundown Party is a rooftop event in August as the summer ends and the fall season in New York begins.
You also publish Hamptons Magazine. Will it be a busy summer out East?
Yes, the influx of people since covid is a reality and the Hamptons has become more of a year-round community in general. People will be traveling to Europe this summer and spending time in the Hamptons as well. There are more luxury brands opening stores out east each season, this year Chanel, Proenza Schouler are opening in East Hampton, Valentino is back this season and Dior is doing a pop-up at Gurneys, Dolce & Gabbana is doing a pop up at EHP Resort & Marina, and Marni will be doing a pop-up again at Sunset Beach. The culinary scene is exploding with Tutto and San Ambreous opening in East Hampton, Dopo il Ponte opening in Bridgehampton and Enchante Cafe is opening in Southampton.
