Fall into Beauty
How should our skin care routine change as we transition from summer into fall?
As we enter into to the colder, dryer months it all about moisturizer. Our skin often takes time to adjust to humidity changes. Those with sensitive skin that is prone to inflammation like eczema or acne will see their skin act up a bit.
Are there any great products we should be aware of?
I’m all for keeping it simple. A simple moisturizer with a daily spf plus occasional use of an exfoliation product for the dry skin that comes with cold weather.
If you had to tell everyone to do only one thing daily to improve their beauty regimen what would it be?
Choose products that make you feel good and stick with them . Do not keep changing things up—the skin doesn’t like that. The positive results of good skin care, or any self care for that matter, always comes from consistency and time.
You are a world-renowned cosmetic surgeon. Is there a specific part of your practice that you like to do most?
I truly love facial and body sculpting. Whether it is optimizing facial structure with injectables or reshaping body contours with minimally invasive fat removal, I find it is the ultimate art of exterior design. There are many aspects of it you just can’t teach.
You’ve built your business like no other. How did you set yourself apart and grow your clientele to include celebrities like Madonna?
When you are passionate about what you do, there is always this driving force to break boundaries, be innovative, do more, and be better. I avoid resting on my laurels—this keeps me on the cutting edge as I aspire to do things differently than others in my field. Those differences and the long-term relationships I develop with my patients set me apart, I believe. The only person who expects more from me than my patients is myself.
What is the latest cosmetic surgery or procedure that is trending right now and do you recommend it?
The hot new technology that is coming down the pike is a device called Ellacor—it is what we call a fractional micro-coring device. I am one of the few doctors in the country that will be working with the device and the company that developed it this winter. I expect it to deliver facelift range results in a minimally invasive office procedure……..stayed tuned at @drpauljarrodfrank!
