Cucumber, Lime, Elderflower and Basil Gin and Tonic

  • 50 ml gin

  • 125 ml tonic water

  • 15ml elderflower liqueur

  • half a lime

  • half a cucumber

  • 2-3 fresh basil leaves

  1. Slice thin ribbons of cucumber and place in a highball glass. Gently add a handful of ice cubes.

  2. Squeeze half a lime’s juice into a cocktail shaker (or separate container) and add your gin, a splash of elderflower liqueur, a few leaves of basil, and a few cucumber chunks.

  3. Muddle the ingredients well, and then add ice.

  4. Shake well, then strain into your glass.

  5. Top with tonic and garnish with a few more basil leaves.
